Features and Benefits

The UV Flexo AURA range is suitable for indirect food packaging and developed in compliance with the Swiss Ordinance and EuPIA guidelines, widening your application portfolio and increasing your cost savings and print optimisation.

The AURA range is press ready, solvent and surfactant free, featuring rapid cure response and superior adhesion to meet the major requirements of press and print performance, colour intensity, fluidity, stability, and quality, saving you time and money.

Like all of our other product ranges, our UV Flexo AURA product colours are based on the Pantone digital library, allowing colour consistency and accuracy during bespoke mixing for digital colour combinations and creation. The low viscosity and fluidity improves print unit performance for optimum up-time and quality while the high gloss feature minimises the need for aesthetic lacquer.

Substrates

This product range is designed for use on most supported and unsupported papers, boards, synthetics and foils. The use of performance additives in combination with our inks should only be used after consulting with your Paragon Inks Australia representative. The UV Flexo Aura system should only be used on thermal active papers with a suitable over varnish. And as per industry recommendations, all thermal stock should be tested for UV stability prior to use.

NB. Due to the wide variety of synthetic substrates available we cannot provide guarantees for ink adhesion. We recommend the use of good quality top coated substrates. Non – top coated substrates can also be converted providing the material is corona treated or primed prior to printing. It is recommended that adequate testing be carried out prior to production runs.

Overprinting

UV Flexo Aura inks are surfactant free, making them suitable for overprinting using thermal transfer ribbons, hot foils, laser toners, flexo and screen inks.

Overprintability trials must be carried out to test suitability when using these products for the first time or if the print construction changes, due to the wide variety of products available. Testing is essential to ensure high quality results can be achieved when printing on press.

Features and Benefits

The UV Flexo LUNA range is Benzophenone, ITX, BDK and 369 free. It is developed for all types of flexo printing units equipped with UV (MPM) drying.

Substrates

This ink system has been purposely designed for use on the majority of papers, boards, synthetics and foils both supported and unsupported. The inks are press ready and the use of performance additives is not recommended without prior consultation or recommendation by Paragon Inks. This ink system is not suitable for thermal active papers without the use of a suitable over varnish.

We recommend the use of good quality top coated substrates. Non – top coated substrates can also be converted providing the material is corona treated or primed prior to printing. It is recommended that adequate testing be carried out prior to production runs.

Overprinting

All inks detailed in this information sheet are free from surfactants and are considered suitable for overprinting using thermal transfer ribbons, hot foils, laser toners, flexo and screen inks.

Please note that due to the wide variety of ribbons, foils and toners which are available, we always recommend overprintability trials be conducted for suitability when using these products for the first time or if the print construction changes.

It is important that tests are carried out to ensure good results can be achieved when printing on press.
